About the role
At ANZ our purpose is to shape a world where people and communities thrive and to achieve this, we need a talented System Analyst to join our Automation and Core Banking Tech Area. The team responsible for infrastructure, delivery and support of Markets back office systems, Core Banking systems, Foreign Exchange GL systems and corresponding reporting solution. We are one of a unique kind of tech area with system reach spreading across multiple business verticals and get involved in every singe transactions that happens in ANZ involving currency conversion. Working with us, you will get exposure to nearly entire function of a bank starting with basic accounting to complex FX projections.
As an Analyst, you will work with java engineers, analysts and testers to deliver a brand new platform to extend existing legacy core banking application.
What will your day look like
Over a period of 1 year, build a new squad of java engineers
Establish tooling, process and standards into new Java squad
Work along with legacy application to move functions across to latest and modern tech stack
Enables continuous delivery practices to increase delivery speed
Works in collaborative teams to build innovative solutions
Utilises tools and practices to build, verify and deploy solutions in the most efficient ways, enhancing tech division capabilities
Implements a culture within the Tribe and the Chapter, encouraging best practices around reviews, quality and documentation
Contributes to Engineering communities, meetups and conferences to promote technology development culture and practices
Provide ongoing support for platforms as required e.g. problem and incident management
Creates estimates and continuously reviews demand within the individual Squads/teams
May create, understand and monitor application metrics
Learn new things, both from business and technology front
What will you bring?
Strong expertise in Java 8 or later, Spring/spring boot
ReactJS(Redux), Angular, EXTJS, Bootstrap, JQuery, or similar (Expert or intermediate)
Micro services & Rest API design
Experience with openshift/Gcp
Docker, kafka , db2, mongo experience, SQL and noSQL DB design/usage experience.
Tools - intelliJ/VS Code, Git, Bamboo, Jenkins etc.
Logging/reporting/eventing system experience - Splunk, Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana or similar
Concurrent/Parallel programing experience in Java
Exposure to Golang
Grpc
Workflow orchestration engines Cadence / Conductor
BPMN Exposure
Intermediate in automation, testing and expert in tooling
Expert ‘or’ Intermediate design experience with medium to complex enterprise application.
Atlassian Products(JIRA, Confluence), Microsoft Teams
Good communication skills.
Team management and work allocation/execution skills
